Unlike as in earlier releases of GIF Construction Set, your registration code will not be displayed in Setup after you have registered.\n\nMake sure you keep a printed copy of your registration e-mail confirmation or the receipt for this software somewhere safe -- you'll need them if you have to reinstall GIF Construction Set Professional.
When you're building animations with Animation Wizard, remember that you can drag the files you select around the file list box to adjust their position in your finished animation.
You can open multiple GIF file in GIF Construction Set Professional and drag selected blocks between them.
You can make still objects move across your screen by making multiple copies of them and sequentially positioning them.\n\nCheck out the Manage function in the Block menu of GIF Construction Set Professional to do this all in one operation.
You can duplicate items in the file list box of the Animation Wizard by dragging them to a new location and holding down the Shift key.
If you're building an animation from photorealistic source images and you don't plan to add transparency to them, use the Dithered to Superpalette option in Animation Wizard.
Want to create eye-catching animations from one or more still source images? Select Transitions from the Edit menu.
If you'd like to import GIF animations into documents created by PowerPoint, use the Movie function in the File menu of GIF Construction Set Professional to convert them to AVI files.
Many of the animations created by the Banners function can be substantially reduced by Supercompressor.
Really large animated GIF files can often be reduced considerably -- try the Supercompressor in the File menu of GIF Construction Set Professional.
Be careful how you use anti-aliasing where it appears in GIF Construction Set. It can noticeably improve your graphics, but anti-aliased images compress less effectively.
Need some web page titles that are impossible to ignore? Try the Banners function in the Edit menu of GIF Construction Set Professional.
If you'd like to add transparency to some or all of the images in an animation, use the Manage function in the Block menu of GIF Construction Set Professional.
You can create slide shows of your still graphics through the Transitions function.\n\nSelect the None option.

You can position the images in your GIF file interactively. Double-click on an Image block and click on Preview.\n\nClick and drag on the image that appears to adjust its position.
To select a range of blocks in a GIF Construction Set Professional document window, click on the first block, hold down Shift and click on the last block.\n\nClick on the green Tag all button select all the blocks.
Change your mind?\n\nSelect Undo from the Edit menu to back out of any mistake.
Try turning off the Leading Edge item in the Scanners option of Banners.
Supercompressor can do a lot more to animations with no transparency.
To create LED signs in colours other than the ones available in the LED Sign function, create a conventional sign and then use the palette editor in its Header block to change its global colours.
If you're running on a slow computer, enable the Fast Colour Matching option in Setup. This will degrade the quality of a few functions of GIF Construction Set slightly, but it will speed up things like Animation Wizard and Transitions.
Make sure you enable the Compress Palette options in the Banner function. Many of the banner types only use three or four colours, and can be compressed into significantly smaller files if the unused colours in their palettes are deleted.
